The chefs of the Mediterranean and European regions are organizing the Pearl of the Sea for the 16th time. In mid-April, Supetar will once again host this largest culinary competition and gastronomy festival in the region, which brings together hundreds of participants from the country and abroad, and will thus mark the beginning of the tourist season on Brač.
From year to year, young chefs and leading chefs from about 30 countries come to the Pearl of the Sea to try and exchange experiences.

Let us remind you, Biser mora is the umbrella international competition of ŠKMER and a gastronomic festival, launched in Makarska in 2006 on the initiative of Miro Bogdanović and other founders of the association. From a small regional competition and moving to Svpetrvs hotels in Supetar on the island of Brač in 2010, it turned into the leading international festival of chefs and catering schools in this part of Europe. Hundreds of competitors from all over the world visit it every year, and over a thousand guests attend competitions, round tables, master classes, oenological workshops, cooking shows, gastronomic exhibitions, tastings, presentations of foreign and local cuisine (themed evenings).
